Heidi Klum was born in Bergisch Gladbach Germany on June 1st, 1973. Erna Klum was her mother. Gunther Kum was an executive for an organization that dealt in cosmetics. Heidi's dad was formerly the producer of 4711, a perfume company. Her hometown was Bergisch Gladbach, a small town of around 100,000 residents just six miles away from Cologne was the place where she grew up. Former model of German descent has become a TV host and producer, fashion designer, business woman and actress, who lives and works in southern California and Germany. Karin her girlfriend, who was the student who was 18 who was at the time, encouraged her to participate in a German talent show called Model 92. The show was a Thomas Gottschalk hosted late night talk show. Klum faced off against 25,000 contestants in Germany, Europe and beyond until she was in the top three. She hosted the ABC program Splash together with Joey Lawrence. Thompson was born in Seattle Washington.
