Avery Sunshine

Avery Sunshine has a unique style that combines R&B with gospel, soul music, and R&B. Sunshine has appeared on Broadway as well as in the Democratic National Convention and in clubs and festivals throughout Europe. Sunshine is Denise White. She is originally from Chester Pennsylvania, where she began her music career singing and playing the piano at church. She studied at Spellman College and began to learn the R&B style of Atlanta. The Fighting Temptations The single which featured her vocals"Stalk You A House 12, was released only in Japan. It's been remixed many times, and it is a mainstay in her live performance. The voice of hers was featured on the soundtrack for The Fighting Temptations. She became the primary keyboardist at Tyler Perry's stage production Meet the Browns. Jennifer Holliday (a Grammy and Tony Award-winning singer) offered her the position of choir conductor for Dreamgirls in Atlanta for the National Black Arts Festival. Sunshine received national attention for four daily performances during the Democratic National Convention in 2008. She was invited to perform at Obama's inaugural ceremony in 2009.
