Whitney Houston and Dana Bash
Whitney Elizabeth Houston is the youngest of four children born in Newark New Jersey on August 9 1993. Their parents include gospel singer Cissy Houston, aka Emily Lee Drinkard - and John Russell Houston Jr. Whitney's cousin Dionne Warwick also was a singing sensation. In Newark Whitney, she began singing with the church choir in the early years of her childhood. At the age 15 she joined her mom in the background vocals for Chaka's hit Im Every Woman from 1978. The backing vocalists were Lou Rawls, Jermaine jackson and her mother. In 1983 in 1983, the New York City funk-rock band Material recruited her to be the band's main vocalist. Their talent was what attracted her to major record label Arista. Whitney Houston, her debut album that debuted in 1985 was the most successful debut of an artist. Many hit songs, including Saving All My Love For You How Do I know You Give Good Love and The greatest Love of All were released from the album, setting her up for a Beatles-beating seven consecutive US numbers one. The album was sold to three million people in during its initial year, and 25 million globally. She won her the first six Grammys. The Whitney follow-up in 1987 with the singles Where Do Broken Hearts GO and I Wanna Dance With Somebody helped to further build upon the success of her debut album. It was, however, the 1992 movie The Bodyguard that solidified her standing as an artist with the highest sales. Even though the film's and performances of the actress were not highly praised, the soundtrack album with her version of Dolly Parton's I Will Always Love You was her top-selling single for long periods of time. It sold in excess of 44 million copies around the world. That same year she married the former New Edition singer Bobby Brown with whom she was the sole parent of their child Bobbi Kristina Brown, born in March 1993. Around this time that her widely documented drug use began and by 1996 she was an everyday addict.
Dana Bash also known as Dana Ruth Schwartz is an American anchor of a reporter as well as political reporter for CNN. Her weekend programs comprise Evans & Novak Late Edition, Inside Politics and Inside Politics. NBC as well CBS have been her previous employers. Bash was awarded a Women in Washington Power List honor by Elle magazine. A lot of young journalists admire her for having incredible reporting/anchoring abilities.
