Jeanie Marie Buss was born in the United States. She is the owner and the president of Los Angeles Lakers National Basketball Association. Buss is a native of California has an impressive background. Jerry Buss, her father was a businessman with a real estate business who later was the owner of Lakers Sports and Entertainment. The couple divorced in 1972 which made her feel emotionally left behind. When she was 19 years old, she became the general manager for the Los Angeles Strings, a professional tennis team. Later, she established an organization called the Los Angeles Blades professional roller hockey team. In the beginning, she was vice-president of the Lakers before taking on the presidency of Great Western Forum. Buss was the father of her deceased father in 2013 which is when the Lakers were inherited from him by her and five of her siblings via a trust. Each sibling had the same number of votes. She took on the role as president of Los Angeles Lakers. Los Angeles Lakers. Buss was also a part-owner of Women of Wrestling (a Los Angeles-based pro-wrestling association).
